Sori Yanagi’s work are some of the most cherished Japanese designer products since World War II. Among the beautiful pieces from his collection, the Butterfly Stool stands as the best-known signature from Yanagi.

The stool combines Eastern forms with plywood moulding technique to evoke a butterfly’s wings. Softly curved, the stool silhouette has been an elusive and elegant icon for generations.
