Corbusier

Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris, was born in Switzerland in 1887. A famous architect, artist and furniture designer Le Corbusier developed a style which made use of metal frames giving structures the look of floating. This style came across in his iconic designs for the LC range which showcases a frame which contains and supports the chair.

A Modernist he pioneered the modern open plan living space and designed his furniture to fit these spaces designing to a proportionate scale borrowed from renaissance artist which used the relative proportions of the human body to create original designs.
