Isamu Noguchi (1904–1988) was one of the twentieth century’s most important and critically acclaimed sculptors. His work, at once subtle and bold, traditional and modern, set a new standard for the reintegration of the arts.
In 1947 Noguchi began a collaboration with the H. Miller company, when he joined with George Nelson, Paul László and Charles Eames to produce a catalog containing what is considered to be the most influential body of modern furniture ever produced, including the iconic Noguchi table which is showed above.
Today, his biggest work collection lives in the Noguchi Museum in New York City.
